How to heal and restore health in Vampire Crawlers
Vampire Crawlers is a kind of game where taking damage and reducing your HP is only a matter of time. The deeper you go on your run, the higher the chances for your HP to take a hit. Hence, you'll need to restore the lost health whenever possible for you to be considered successful.
This guide will explore all the options you have at your disposal to heal yourself.
How to heal in Vampire Crawlers
When you begin a run in Vampire Crawlers, you'll come across light sources. At first, the locations of these light sources will be hidden, and you'll need to depend on blind luck. Once you unlock the Guiding Light relic after reaching Inlaid Library, the locations of all light sources on the map will be shown.
When you break a light source, there will be a chance to find floor chicken. When you consume this chicken, it will restore 10 HP. However, you should only consume it when your HP has reduced by 10 HP or more, since there's no overhealing.
You might also see mega stacks of floor chickens very rarely in food stalls, as shown in the image above. To activate the effect, you'll need to sacrifice a card from your deck. These mega stacks heal not 10, but 30 lost health. It's a game-changer if your HP is in a dire situation.
Finally, there's the Recovery Power Up that helps to restore your lost health. This Power Up restores one HP after an encounter. If you upgrade it three times (max), you'll get +3 HP after every battle. The number will feel less, but here's how you can use it efficiently.
Once you take a hit on your HP, don't go immediately into another boss battle. Instead, try the normal battles and avoid taking more hits. This will help you restore your HP and also allow you to gain Gold and XP. At this rate, you can restore 9-12 HP quite easily, and effectively make the most out of the Recovery Power Up.
