How to get Diamond Jewels and Pearlescent Amulets in Path of Exile 2

Developers GGG have made some neat changes to crafting in Path of Exile 2, and now we have Diamond Jewels as a new variant. We’ll be able to change their modifiers and use them in crafting to get new options.

While the Perlescent Amulets are an extension of the system, let’s first find out how you can get Diamond Jewels.

How to craft Diamond Jewels in Path of Exile 2

As of writing, you’ll have to participate in Reforge Crafting to get a Diamond Jewel. Once you have access to the Reforging Bench in Act 3 after the Treasures of Utzaal quest, you can craft the Diamond Jewel. First, you’ll need a base of Emerald, Sapphire, or Ruby. You can then convert them to a Diamond Jewel base.

The final rolls you get will be completely random. On one hand, you can mix and match different layers when crafting the jewel. This opens up avenues that haven’t previously been possible. However, there’s a bit of randomness as well, as you’ll be inheriting affixes from the available pool of base materials without much direct control. That said, I love the system, as it’s an improvement over what we had before.

How to get Pearlescent Amulets in Path of Exile 2

Pearlescent Amulet is a base that offers modifiers for all elemental resistances. It appears as though you can get them as a random drop from enemies in Act 2 (level 16-31), but we haven’t seen any drop yet. We had to resort to the Reforging Bench to craft one for our build.

To begin the process, you have to combine the following bases.

  • Lapis for INT
  • Amber for STR
  • Jade for DEX.

The rarity of your base material will affect the outcome, and you can use the same variants to raise the odds in your favor. However, the only difference is the amount of elemental resistance you get since all the amulets have the same modifier pool.
